After completing my studies in philosophy in Amsterdam, I found myself longing for deeper connection. This yearning led me to move to Sweden, where I was captivated by the stillness and vastness of the landscape: endless forests, shimmering lakes, and a sense of wilderness. It was here, in this place of quiet and space, that I began working with clay.
I was immediately drawn to clay – its tactile nature, earthy character and infinite possibilities. Clay demands presence, it doesn’t allow you to rush. It has a memory, it records every touch, every hesitation, every intention. In a world that moves quickly, ceramics offers me a form of quiet resistance, inviting slowness, presence and humility into my life.
Through my pottery, I hope you too find small moments of calm and connection. I believe it is in simple rituals – like drinking from your favorite cup, sharing a meal with loved ones or arranging wild flowers – that life’s beauty truly unfolds.
